The summer is officially over! And we survived!
Actually, we had a great summer. We were so busy. Went on lots of trips which helped. But it went by way too quickly (as always).
My oldest son started 3rd grade. I cannot believe it. He's officially an "upper classman" at this middle school (LOL). After day one yesterday, he was practically the first one out of the school, running to me, jumped into my arms (that's our tradition every day...he runs, jumps and I pick him up - blessed that he still wants to do that!) and told me it was a GREAT first day and "my teacher is SO nice!" Ahh...happy boy, happy mom!
My four year old starts Pre-K next week. As much of a trouble maker he is, I am so blessed to have one more year until he starts Kindergarten. I was getting teary eyed this morning walking home from dropping off my oldest, thinking next year I'll be walking home alone. It goes by so fast and I want to cherish the next year!
He'll be gone four mornings a week, which is plenty of time to myself for one more year. I am going to remember to enjoy his little voice, play video games and board games and remember it's a beautiful day. Next year I'll enjoy the peace. Until then...bring on the noise (and my trouble maker!)
